Events (Pretix)

Events site background information

Transition Network maintains a event ticketing service for the international support ecosystem to promote events and sell tickets.

Features

It is an instance of Pretix and so has the Pretix features

Shops

Current ticket shops include

https://events.transitionmovement.org/transition-together/

https://events.transitionmovement.org/practise/

https://events.transitionmovement.org/inner/

The events from these shops can additionally be viewed on these URLS, this enables a 'pretty' embed with automatic translation based on a users browser language (see below)

https://transitiongroups.org/events/transition-together/

https://transitiongroups.org/events/practise/

https://transitiongroups.org/events/inner/

Embedding

The events from individual shops can be embedded using the syntax

https://transitiongroups.org/events/inner/iframe/

We can apply custom colours to the buttons etc on request

Import to Humhub

The events created can be automatically pulled into Humhub using the external calendar module

Aggregator

There is an intention to aggregate together all these events, thinking on how best to do this is underway

Adding events

See screencast

Sending email to attendees

Do not use scheduling for sending emails at the moment until this functionality has been tested.

Under Email Settings > Email Content, Free Order supersedes Placed Order.

So if sending email for free events,  put the email copy needed in the Free Order section

For general instructions on how to send email to attendees, please see Screencast here

Personal data

Please keep personal data captured about attendees to a minimum. Don't capture the data if it is not needed

Special category data

There are legitimate reasons for capturing accessibility data, users may use this part of the form to divulge Special category personal data.

Therefore before adding accessibility questions to a ticket shop please send a mail to privacy@transitionnetwork.org so that we can check the access & retention processes around this data.
